School Priorities

Each school year we identify key priorities. Please see our priorities for 2025-2026 below:

  • Develop a comprehensive, whole-school Reading for Pleasure (RfP) strategy that embeds reading across the curriculum and school culture. Enhance pupils' access to diverse, high-quality reading materials that reflect our school's multicultural context and inspire a love of reading. Build staff expertise in promoting reading engagement and developing pupils' reading confidence across all year groups.
  • Develop a comprehensive, progressive music curriculum that ensures clear progression of musical skills and knowledge across all year groups. Enhance staff subject knowledge and confidence in delivering high-quality music education through targeted professional development.
  • Develop and improve students' oracy skills, enabling them to communicate effectively, confidently, and articulately across a range of contexts.
  • Raise attainment in phonics across Year 1 and Year 2 by ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery of phonics teaching and providing targeted support informed by regular assessment and responsive teaching, in order to increase the number of pupils achieving the expected standard in the Phonics Screening Check.
