Welcome to Clifton Primary School!

Clifton is a wonderful community school. We work consistently to support our children and families. We are going through a real time of change and focusing on improving the environment and experiences of our children.
We have been trialling a new curriculum, one to meet the wider needs of our children. This will support our children to think creatively and to be able to take risks and ultimately prepare them for their future lives.
There are going to be more changes but staff at school are focused on the needs of our children and will continue to put them first.
We hope all our children and their families enjoy being part of the Clifton community and that you are able to support us in the next steps to make Clifton the best school in the world!

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to  contact the school direct with any queries you may have.

Mrs Polly Bennett Headteacher

An extract from an official letter by Rt Hon David Laws MP, Minister of State for Schools to Clifton.
2013 Primary School Performance Tables – Disadvantaged Pupils
"Dear Mrs. Bennett,
It give me great pleasure to congratulate you on the excellent performance of you disadvantaged pupils in the 2013 national key sage 2 tests as published on the 12 December 2013.

Your results show that you are amongst the 250 top performing schools in the country in terms of the progress your disadvantaged pupils make between key stage 1 and the end of key stage 2, and their attainment at the end of the key stage. This assessment is based on the percentage of your disadvantaged pupils achieving 4b in reading and mathematics and level 4 or above in writing, and their value added scored.

Thank you for your leadership in prioritising disadvantaged pupil’s performance in your school; the results are a real testament to this and the hard work of your staff, governor and parents and pupils"
